Confusing[edit]

Would you sum up below what was done in the edits here to Retirement community? I see links taken out that seemed to be good links and replaced by others; in the absence of an edit summary it's sometimes hard to know for sure whether a series of edits is constructive. Thanks for understanding. --CliffC (talk) 21:54, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi CliffC. Sure thing - good questions. Both of these changes were precipitated by the States of Lousiana and Texas, which added to their list of certified retirement communities. It is a good program, but most of the states do a lousy job of keeping their info up to date. In the first change i changed the link from my site since i realized i had a better page - the new one is the only place anywhere that lists most of the 70 or so certified retirement communities. In the second change i discovered when i updated my pages that about half of the links to the state programs had gone bad (go back to earlier comment -states do a lousy job!). so i corrected the links, hope they all work now.

Thanks for all the good work you do for Wikipedia - it's a heck of a resource.
