Reason: Some encyclopedic topics are disturbing. This is one of the most disturbing, particularly after restoration. But it's a part of history and not something to shrink from. The highest technical quality image of its kind I could locate. United States, but lacking specifics on the location and the man's name. The NAACP reports several thousand lynchings took place during 1882-1968. Restored version of File:Lynching.jpg.
