- Support High EV as said, although there is an interesting texture on his cheeks that I'm curious about. Know what that is? — Crisco 1492 (talk) 11:38, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
- Painterliness? I can't find a better term though I'm sure there is one. I was searching for the opposite of sfumato. Instead of blending, he seems to have left his brushstrokes visible, and you can sort of see the paths going around the eyes. That's an uneducated guess, though. – Kerαunoςcopia◁galaxies 19:33, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
- It looked regular and repeating, so it was my worry that this had been scanned from a book. However, as it is localised I doubt my explanation would have been correct. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 22:50, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
- Oh, I misunderstood you. Scewing added the source as it was taken from the NGA. I went there just now and it seems like the original source would have to be pieced together tile by tile (unless some other black magic was used to obtain the full-size image), and I doubt the NGA would scan from a book. – Kerαunoςcopia◁galaxies 23:16, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
