History Review

Katakit, was founded by the Anzarouti family in the early 90's to carry on 40 years of experience in the confectionery industry and now it assumes a leading market share in Syria and major countries in the Middle East. Through years of international economic downturns, Katakit was able to maintain a standard of excellence meeting the needs of its customers and promoting its valuable brands. Katakit’s first product was introduced to the market in 1991. In 1998, and in the pursuit of quality and excellence, Katakit gained ISO 9002 Quality Assurance Certificate and then the updated version ISO 9001/2000. Later, Katakit introduced more brands ranging from coated wafer products, biscuits, chocolate, to Powder Soft Drinks. In 2001 Katakit became the leading manufacturing company in Syria, with premises extending over 100,000 sq. m. Today Katakit offers a range of 52 different products reaching 100,0000 sales points in the Middle East.
