Hi,

Welcome to Wikipedia. I couldn't help noticing your user name and wanted to warn you that there are some people who are very hot on looking for conflicts of interest in Wikipedia edits. There weren't any problems with the factual changes you made to the Colin Salmon article yesterday, but if you ever make changes which are more subjective, I suggest mentoning things in the article talk page first. This is assuming that the simlarity between your userid and the article name is no coincidence and that you are Colin or his agent. So if, say, there was a positive profile of Colin published in the national press, it might be better to suggest on the talk page that other editors might care to look at it, rather than quote it yourelf.

As I said above, I can see no problem with what you have actually done, but I thought it best to raise the issue as a precaution now rather than just rely on there never being a problem. WP:COI dscusses things in more detail.--Peter cohen (talk) 09:36, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
