{{helpme}} Thanks for the reply. Can someone please explain to me how this entry "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colibri_(software)" meets the guidelines? Only thing I can see is a link to a site that posted it as a download of the day. Thanks

I doubt it does, you can nominate it to Articles for deletion if you like. I did some cleanup on the "documentation" (basically removing it), but its really shaky though. —— nixeagle 18:21, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}} Can you please link to the Wikipedia page that states this. Thanks.

Blogs/forums and not considered to be reliable sources to use as references (especially when trying to assert something's notability, too), if that was the issue here; Wikipedia:Reliable sources covers in more detail the topic of what to use for references, and Wikipedia's general notability guidelines are here. Hope that helps, JamieS93 18:04, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}} I've added a review posted by IT POV, is this a good example of independent references needed to pass "general notability guideline"?

Sorry no, blogs and forums do not meet the requirements. GtstrickyTalk or C 17:37, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}} I'm trying to edit to comply with the guidelines, I've added references to other wikipedia articles. Does the new changes look sufficient to pass the guidelines?

I'm working on a better article introduction that will explain CAL in a better context for people that may be unfamiliar with application launchers and CAL. Any guidance you can give me?

How do I make the article comply with "general notability guideline"? I don't want to risk having the article deleted.

  • I do not see any independent references that support notability. Click on this: WP:GNG and read what is needed. GtstrickyTalk or C 16:16, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
