According to studies from the University of Amsterdam Faculty of Religion & Theology, "Interfaith initiatives are seen as promising sites for societal change and personal transformation. However, many questions about the actual outcomes of such initiatives have remained unanswered."[2] which called for the development of dozens of higher education interfaith studies programs and journals worldwide, that now are even organized in the Association for Interreligious / Interfaith Studies (AIIS). The area's imprescindible importance was even recognized by UNESCO UNITWIN Network for Inter-Religious Dialogue and Intercultural Understanding (IDIU)[3] due to the large amount of interreligious and interfaith International non-governmental organizations that use the area's qualitative research and data analysis. The Institute for Global Engagement (IGE) has reiterated the value of the cathedra for International relations with the publishing of the "Interfaith on the World Stage" special edition of The Review of Faith & International Affairs[4]. Since we have an ever increasing number of Interfaith marriages, communities, civil organizations, and businesses worldwide we also require further studies in the research field, in areas as interfaith multi-religious pedagogy, as it is being developed by World Religions Education for Kids and the United States Agency for International Development Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) Learning Platform.
