South Fork Kentucky River is a river in Kentucky in the United States.[1] It is a fork of the Kentucky River that it joins just downstream of Beattyville.[1] It is approximately 30 mi (48 km) long.[citation needed]

It is formed in Clay County, at the town of Oneida in the Daniel Boone National Forest, approximately 10 mi (16 km) northeast of Manchester. It flows generally north in a highly meandering course through the mountainous Cumberland Plateau region.[citation needed]

Tributaries and other locations

General

A road connects a left branch of Crane Creek via a gap to the Wildcat Branch of Goose Creek.[12] A road connects a left branch of Upper Teges Creek to Crane Creek.[8]
