In the 1994 season of the Primera División de Chile the championship winner qualified for the Copa Libertadores, while the two teams with least points overall relegated. The number two, three, four and five competed for one remaining spot in the 1995 Copa Libertadores. A win was rewarded with two points, a draw gave one point.
