Shaykh Dr. Aaidh ibn Abdullah al-Qarni (also spelt al-Qarnee), born in 1960, is a Saudi [1] Islamic Muslim scholar, author, and activist.[2]

Al-Qarni is best known for his self-help book Don't Be Sad (La Tahzan), which is aimed at Muslims and non-Muslims alike. This type of literature in Islam is very rare. The other book of its kind is Stop Worrying by Sheikh Muhammad Al-Ghazali.
