Margaret Ann Jones AM (born 4 November 1953) is a Welsh Labour Co-operative[1] politician. Born in Rhyl, Denbighshire, Jones has represented the Vale of Clwyd constituency since the National Assembly for Wales was established in 1999. Jones is presently Chair of the Equality of Opportunity Committee. Her political interests include education, tourism, community safety, regeneration, social policy and the Emergency Services.
Jones was educated in Rhyl, and was a Rhyl Town Councillor and a Denbighshire County Councillor, as well as a Fire Brigades Union national official.
