History[edit]

The company was founded in Shorewood, Wisconsin in 1955 by brothers W.C. Blain and N.B. Blain. Each retail store is a division of one of the Farm and Fleet Corporations, while the distribution is handled by the separate entity, Blain Supply Company.[1] The Blain family still owns the business.
