Category:British South Africa Police officers

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The British South Africa Police (BSAP) was originally created on military lines in 1889, as the police force of the British South Africa Company. It gradually evolved into a more traditional police role and was retained under the same name as the national police of first Southern Rhodesia, then Rhodesia and latterly Zimbabwe Rhodesia. Soon after the creation of Zimbabwe in April 1980, the BSAP was renamed the Zimbabwe Republic Police in July 1980.

The scope of this category covers all those who served in the BSAP, regardless of role and rank.
