Category scope[edit]

This category definition seems broader than the name would indicate; "social events" sound like parties; not "political events", academic conferences, and so on. I believe that Category:Organized events would hold the various types of planned & organized events on various topics. --Lquilter (talk) 23:36, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

For now I've put Category:Organized events back in the top-level of Category:Events, but I'm leaving Category:Social events there too pending more discussion. I still feel like "social events" captures events for the purpose of socializing, which would logically be a subcategory of Category:Organized events. --Lquilter (talk) 18:26, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
