Chattahoochee is a 1989 film directed by Mick Jackson. The film stars Gary Oldman, Dennis Hopper, Pamela Reed, and Ned Beatty and is based on the experiences of Chris Calhoun.

The film Chattahoochee tells the story of the fight by a committed war hero, in Florida State Hospital (a mental institution in Chattahoochee, Florida), against doctors who were terrorizing and torturing their patients.

- Barron Pilgrim, was an extra in the film and was chosen to be in a fight scene with Chris Calhoun whom the movie was his life story. The fight scene was cut from the movie, although Barron said he enjoyed having lunch with Dennis Hopper and said he was a great guy to be around. Chris Calhoun would stay at Barron's home on the weekends, and attend church on Sunday morning with Barron's family.
- Richard Best, was an extra in the film as the guard that helps in throwing down Gary Oldman to find a hidden key.
