"Chemical" is a song by American metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada. The song was released as the third single from the band's seventh studio album The Act.

Overview

"Chemical" mostly features clean singing from rhythm guitarist Jeremy DePoyster while regular lead vocalist Mike Hrancia only provides backing vocals.[3] The song is about how all feelings, good or bad, are ultimately just chemical reactions in people's brains.[4]

The single peaked at no. 47 on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart on October 25, 2019.[5]

Music video

The song's music video was directed by Kevin Johnson.[6] The video follows a man who is chased by ghosts and struggles with inner demons, becoming more bloodied and distraught as the video progresses. The band appears in the video, performing in a warehouse.
