Chen Daofu

Chen Daofu (Ch'en Tao-fu, simplified: 陈道复); ca. 1483-1544 was a Chinese landscape painter, calligrapher, and poet during the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644).

Chen was born in Changzhou in the Jiangsu province.[1] His style name was 'Fupu' and his sobriquet was 'Baiyang shanren'. Chen painted landscapes and flowers with a free and natural style. He studied under Wen Zhengming.
