Christophe Galtier (born 23 August 1966 in Marseille) is a French former football defender, who last worked as the manager of Ligue 1 club AS Saint-Étienne.[1]
Club career
Galtier spent most of his playing career in France before ending his career with stints in Italy and China.
Managerial career
1999-2009
From 1999 to 2004, Galtier was assistant coach at Olympique de Marseille, Aris Thessaloniki F.C. and SC Bastia. From 2004 to 2009, he worked as Alain Perrin's assistant coach at Al Ain FC, Portsmouth F.C., FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, Olympique Lyonnais and AS Saint-Étienne.[2]
Saint-Étienne
In December 2009, Galtier was appointed the head coach of AS Saint-Étienne.[3]
