So to make the example of Triad A-11J as more relevant in the paragrah, I say it is good to point out that this Triad was used in the Woflbox. undo Tag: Visual edit

Also I'm replacing the phrase "used through 1974" with simply "vintage" because a quick search on octopart shows that that there are 4 distributors selling them (though they are out of stock, they show there are some on order) and because a quick online search shows that people still use them. undo Tag: Visual edit
  • curprev 21:0221:02, 23 May 2022Em3rgent0rdr talk contribs 19,333 bytes +31 →‎History: Since the Triad A11J is used as an example, and since it has a math-friendly number turns ratio of 10:1, then I'm thinking use that spec as the example for an impedance ratio of 100:1 which makes the math easy for readers when understanding how it transforms from 1,500 ohms to 150,000 ohms. undo Tag: Visual edit
  • curprev 20:5420:54, 23 May 2022Em3rgent0rdr talk contribs 19,302 bytes 0 →‎History: Since we are saying "around", then really should pick a nice round number in the middle of the range. The impedance ratio of 144:1 only applies for the turns ratio of 12:1. But for turns ratio of 8:1, the impedance ratio is 64:1. A nice number in the middle of that range from 64 to 144 is "100", so I'm writing 100:1 for simplicity. But could also say "form 64:1 to 144:1". But shouldn't just say "144:1". undo Tag: Visual edit
