Changchun University of Technology (abbreviation: CCUT), is a teaching and research university located in Changchun, Jilin Province, China. Founded in 1952 as the Changchun Automobile Industrial School for the construction of the First Automobile Manufacturing Plant of the People's Republic of China, Changchun University of Technology (CCUT) was named the Jilin College of Technology in 1962, and was recognized by the Jilin Provincial People's Government as one of the first three key universities in Jilin Province in 1992, and renamed Changchun University of Technology (CCUT) in 2002.[1]

  • In April 1952, Changchun Automobile Technical Training Course was founded.
  • In October 1952, Changchun Automobile Technical School.
  • In May 1953, Changchun Automobile Industry School.
  • In December 1953, Changchun Automobile Manufacturing School of the First Ministry of Machinery Industry of the Central Government.
  • In August 1956, Changchun First Workers' Technical School of the First Ministry of Machinery Industry.
  • In August 1958, Changchun Industrial College.
  • In August 1961, merged with Changchun Institute of Technology and Changchun Radio Industry School to form Jilin Institute of Technology.
  • In August 1962, merged with Jilin Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, Jilin Institute of Construction and Engineering College of Junior College into Jilin Institute of Technology.
  • In July 1963, Yanbian University radio physics program was merged into Jilin Institute of Technology.
  • In August 1963, Jilin Institute of Light Industry merged into Jilin Institute of Technology.
  • In June 1970, it merged with Jilin University of Technology.
  • In October 1978, Jilin Institute of Technology was reopened.
  • In September 2000, Changchun Coal Industry School, Changchun Coal Management Cadre College and Jilin Industrial Design School were merged into Jilin Institute of Technology.
  • In March 2002, the name was changed to Changchun University of Technology.[2]
