Earthling Ed (Ed Winters) Birth name is Edward Gaunt. is a UK-based animal rights activist and educator. He is co-founder of Surge, which organizes The Official Animal Rights March, and runs a popular YouTube channel under the moniker Earthling Ed.

He also runs The Disclosure Podcast,[1][2] in which he interviews both vegans and ideological opponents. He has appeared on national news outlets, such as BBC, speaking about veganism.[3][4][5]

Activism[edit]

His activism involves speaking tours at universities, as well as Socratic-style discussions with ordinary people.[6][7]

Earthling Ed focuses much of his activism engaging in open conversation with non-vegans.[8][9] He has also done exposé work on animal agriculture, including filmed protests at farms and a 2017 documentary Land of Hope and Glory.[10] At the time of writing (2024), he has over 435,000 subscribers on YouTube.[11][12][13]
