The Weekly Fifty Quiz is a weekly quiz competition held at various locations around Australia. The quiz consists of 50 questions, covering a range of topics including culture, history, sports, music, and more.

History

The Weekly Fifty Quiz was originally created to provide a weekly online quiz option for younger people.

Format

The quiz is held weekly at various locations, including wine bars and pubs. Participants can form teams or play individually, and the quiz consists of 50 questions, divided into categories such as:

- Culture - Music - Movies and TV - Sports - History - Science and Technology

The team or individual with the highest score at the end of the quiz is declared the winner. Prizes are also awarded to usually 2 other teams at random positions. Prizes vary by location, but often include gift cards, wine, and other goodies.

Membership and Subscription

The Weekly Fifty Quiz offers a membership program called Fifty+, which provides access to specialty and bonus quizzes including specific topics such as Movies and Taylor Swift etc. Fifty+ users are also provided access to The Weekly Fifty's back catalog of quizzes which is currently 100+ in size.

Collaboration with Date Night Adelaide

In 2022, The Weekly Fifty Quiz partnered with Date Night Adelaide, an Instagram account for providing date night ideas in Adelaide, to create exclusive quiz nights for couples and groups. This collaboration offers an alternative method for meeting new people in real life as opposed to on the various dating apps and sites. As part of this collaboration, The Weekly Fifty Quiz group provides customised quizzes and hosts events at various locations, while Rylee Cooper from Date Night Adelaide handles event planning and promotion.
