Elevations RTC is a residential treatment center in Utah that advertises it can "help boys and girls from ages of 13-18 overcome challenges stemming from mental health problems, emotional disorders, learning disorders, substance abuse, and other underlying issues." [1]
Background
In 2014, Elevations opened as a licensed residential treatment.[2] Elevations is an owner-operated program created in partnership with Family & Help Wellness.[3][4]
Before Elevations began operations in spring of 2014 as a residential treatment center, Island View operated on the same campus.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15]
In November 2014, Elevations RTC filed a lawsuit under its legal name Syracuse RTC against the program's former owners, Island View Residential Treatment Center and Aspen Education Group, for breach of contract.[16]
Leadership and Staffing
Dr. Hans became the new owner and executive director at the time of the opening of Elevations, but he is currently not listed as being affiliated with Elevations.[17][18] He appears to operate a private practice in New Mexico.[19] Judi Jacques, who was originally hired as the Associate Executive Director, is currently listed as the Executive Director.[20][21] Some of the former Island View RTC staff members were also hired to work at the facility after the opening of Elevations at the same location, including Jennifer Wilde, Laura Burt, and Jen Capellen.[22]
