Enrique (Spanish pronunciation: [enˈrike]) is the Spanish variant of Heinrich of Germanic origin.[1] As a given name, it ranked 298 out of 1219 for males of all ages in the 1990 U.S. Census. Equivalents in other languages are Henry (English), Enrico (Italian), Henrik (Swedish, Danish, and Norwegian), Heinrich (German), Hendrik, Henk (Dutch) Henri (French), and Henrique (Portuguese).
