Fagatogo is situated on Tutuila Island, Pago Pago Harbour. Population (April 1, As of 2000[update] census) is 2096. Some have mistakenly cited Fagatogo as the capital due to the fact that is listed in the Constitution of American Samoa as the official seat of government.[1][2][3]
