Gene Gaines (born June 26, 1938) was a football player in the CFL sixteen years. He starred as a defensive back for the Ottawa Rough Riders and Montreal Alouettes. He is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.[1]

In 1970, he was both a player and one of the defensive backfield coaches for the Alouettes.[2][3]
