The Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur, also known as IMT Nagpur or simply IMTN, is a premier private business school located in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. It was the second Institute of Management Technology (IMT) to be established, after IMT Ghaziabad.[1][2][3] The school was established in 2004 by the industrialist Mahendra Nath. It is located on a sprawling campus of 27 acres on the outskirts of [Nagpur], beyond Nagpur.

Accreditation

IMT's educational programmes have been recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India [citation needed]

Admission

Prospective students are required to qualify by taking the CAT, XAT or CMAT test and a group discussion followed by an interview.

Students may specialize either in a single area (stream specialization) or two functional areas, keeping the stream specialization (Finance/Marketing) as one of the two. A student has the opportunity to specialize in the areas of HR&OB, Operations, Economics, Information Technology Management apart from Finance & Marketing as their base specialization during the second year of the course.

Campus

The Learning Resource Centre occupies 15,000 Sq Ft complex, and contains over 18,000 volumes of nationally and internationally acclaimed titles necessary for modem management education and research. It also has journals and periodicals of national as well as international repute. In addition to the physical volumes, LRC also facilitates online access to national as well as international databases.

The intranet has advanced optic fibre cables running at 2 Gbps and a star connected high speed distributed structured CAT-6 cable network that gives a connectivity of 1Gbps to the entire campus including every room of the students residence. The Internet connectivity is through 16 (1:2) Mbps flat Fibre link and 25 (1:1) Mbps through Micro Wave without any compression.

Student life

The academic programmes offered at IMT-N are fully residential, with hostel facilities for men and women.

Recreational facilities include a gymnasium, sports facilities such as courts for basket-ball, badminton, tennis and volley ball and grounds for cricket and football. The campus also has a mini golf course for enthusiasts.
