Keskal is a town in Bastar district formerly in Madhya Pradesh and now in Chhattisgarh, India.

Geography

It is located at 20°5′5″N 81°35′12″E / 20.08472°N 81.58667°E / 20.08472; 81.58667 at an elevation of 651 m above MSL.[1]

Keskal has heavy bauxite deposits.

Location

Keskal is 250 km from Jagdalpur 168 km from Raipur, 30 km from Kanker and about 60 km north of Kondagaon.

Nearest airport is Raipur Airport and railway station is at Jagdalpur.

Keshkal Ghat is a nearby attraction.[2] It is a scenic spot and offers a spectacular view of the valley below. Keshkal PANCHAVATI is very famous spot of tourism. Dargah

There is a very famous dargah in keshkal known as kaliyar sareef-:dargah sabir piya kalyari.People of all walks of life come here and pray.It is one of the most known dargahs of chhattisgarh.People from state and and adjoining states come here for ziyarat. It is Locally known as Ajnuman rayazemustafa Keshakal

Business and Economy

The major business done by the peoples of Keshkal are sale and purchase of grains like rice, wheat, maize, mahua etc.
