The construction of the Kumanovo Prison (Macedonian: Казнено-поправна установа Куманово) in the village K'shenje near Kumanovo, Macedonia is part of the activities under the project for reconstruction of the PI. It is an extremely important project, which is supported with the loan from the Development Bank of the Council of Europe and the budget of Republic of Macedonia. Total cost was 234 million MKD.[1]

Prison complex

Entire prison complex is enclosed by a fence 4 meters high. The 5,000 square meters institution has a separate system for heating, separate water supply system and solar collectors for heating of sanitary water for the kitchen and bathrooms for prisoners

Security

The institution is incorporated the cutting edge[peacock prose] technical equipment for surveillance conditions are provided to minimize the need for prison security staff.
