Line 16 (Violet) is a future project of the São Paulo Metro.

This new line will be approximately 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) long and have ten stations, beginning at the future Cachoeirinha station and ending at the future Lapa Station (with integration with CPTM Line 8 (Diamond) and is planned to be built as a monorail.

It will have integration with Line 6 (Orange) (under construction) as well as CPTM Line 8 (Diamond).[1]
