This is a list of episodes of the second season of the anime series Naruto: Shippuden. The episodes are directed by Hayato Date and produced by Studio Pierrot and TV Tokyo. They are based on Part II of the Naruto manga series by Masashi Kishimoto. Naruto: Shippuden is a continuation of the Naruto manga series by Kishimoto, and continues the same storyline after the passing of two and a half years in the fictional Naruto universe. The second season was broadcast on TV Tokyo in Japan, from November 8, 2007 to April 3, 2008.[1] The season was later released on DVD in Japan over five discs between April 8 and August 8, 2008. [2] The season was referred to by these DVDs as the chapter of Long-Awaited Reunion.[3]

On January 2, 2009 Viz Media and Crunchyroll began providing subtitled Naruto: Shippuden episodes.[4] Viz have stated the English dub will air sometime in the near future, however, an air date has not been set despite recording starting in 2008.[5][6]

The opening theme for this season is "Distance" by Long Shot Party. The ending themess are "Kimi Monogatari" (キミモノガタリ) by Little by Little, which is used for episodes 31 to 41, and "Mezamero! Yasei" (目覚めろ!野性) by Matchy with Question?, which is used from episodes 42 to 53.[1]
