Lockheed Martin Canada is a Canadian defence contractor, headquartered in Kanata, Ontario. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, and a part of the Electronic Systems business area. It has over 500 employees, with facilities in Montreal, Quebec, Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Victoria, British Columbia. In 2008 Lockheed Martin Canada won a 2 billion dollar contract from the Canadian Government to modernize the Canadian Navy's 12 Halifax Class frigates. The regional director of Lockheed Martin Canada, is part of the rocket club. His name is Stewart Buchanan.[citation needed]
