Luis Alejandro Capdevielle Flores (born March 13, 1953) is a Mexican editor and politician, also member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). Currently, he is deputy by the state of Sonora in the LXII Term of Office. He began the deputy charge after Manlio Fabio Beltrones assumed his position as national leader of the Institutional Revolutionary Party. In his wide trajectory as businessman and editor, has directed the newspapers "El Cambio de Sonora", "El Sol de Hermosillo", among others.

Biography

Luis Alejandro Capdevielle Flores was born March 13, 1953 in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. He grew up in Hermosillo city with his parents; Alejandro Capdevielle, editor and journalist, and Laura Fluoresces, accountant. He graduated from law school at the Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).

He was part of the Association of Editors of Newspapers, Diaries and Magazines of Mexico (AEDIRMEX), the most serious organism and professional of the Mexican journalism founded in 1968. In 1999 he became vicepresident of the Association and afterwards, in 2003, he led the AEDIRMEX as the Association's president during 4 years.

Alejandro Capdevielle was in charge of the Management Council of the newspaper Diario La Expresión since it was bought in 1994 y refounded as a new brand: El Cambio Sonora. In 2006 the newspaper was sold to the Organización Editorial Mexicana after several "attempts against criticisim and informing liberty".

In 2006 he was substitute of Jesus Alberto Cano Velez in the Alianza por México. Also, in 2009 and 2012 he contened for the federal deputy of district IX, Miguel Hidalgo.

In 2012, he was registered as substitute deputy and in August 15, 2005, he became deputy by the state of Sonora in the LXII Term of Office after Manlio Fabio Beltrones assumed his position as national leader of the Institutional Revolutionary Party

El Cambio Sonora Newspaper

In February 1994, the Management Council Luis Alejandro Capdevielle Flores heades won a public tender for the buy-opt of the diary El Nacional Sonora. In August of the same year, the diary was rebranded as El Cambio Sonora Newspaper [1]. Capdevielle headed the newspaper's evolution; organizational restructure, production automation, editorial guidelines and design.

After the development of different subproducts through a decade; "Palabra Abierta" (1997), "Nogales" (1999), "Revista Dominical" (2000) y "Deportes: Béisbol" (2002), in 2006 the Newspaper was sold to the Organización Editorial Mexicana after several "attempts against criticisim and informing liberty".

Association of Editors of Newspapers, Diaries and Magazines of Mexico

In 1999 assumed the charge as vicepresident, and afterwards, in 2003, he became the president of the Association.

During this period, Alejandro Capdevielle worked with the Executive power Vicente Fox to guarantee the professional secrecy of the journalists and to maintain a zero tax policy that avoided newspapers to carry Aggregated Value Tax (VAT) In 2006, altogether with other presidents of Associations and Attorneys, signed the agreement to protect the fundamental rights of the

Capdevielle also was adviser of the Managerial Council of the CIRT and Juridical Adviser of diverse editors of newspapers and magazines, journalistic columns and foreign correspondents.
