Makhdum Karim or Karim ul Makdum was a Badjao(sam a/samal) from johore in the late 13th-century Arab he was a trader who brought Islam to the [[Philippines] from johore], in 1380. He established a mosque in Simunul Island, Tawi Tawi in Southern Philippines, known as Sheik Karimal Makdum Mosque which is the oldest mosque in the country.
