The Ministry of Education (Thai: กระทรวงศึกษาธิการ; RTGSKrasuang Sueksathikan; Abrv: MOE), is a Thai government body responsible for the oversight of education in Thailand. It was established by King Rama V (Chulalongkorn) in 1892 as a the "Dhammakan" ministry (กระทรวงธรรมการ) which controls the religion, education, healthcare, and museums. In 1941, the ministry changed its name to the Ministry of Education (กระทรวงศึกษาธิการ). Its headquarters are located at "Chandkasem Palace" since 1892 till today.
