Olga Sergeyevna Kapranova (Russian: Ольга Сергеевна Капра́нова; born 6 December 1987) is a rhythmic gymnast from Moscow, Russia.

She first took up the sport of rhythmic gymnastics in 1993 and trained with Elena Nefedova. In 2002 she started to train with Irina Viner,[1] who has coached other huge stars of the sport, including Yana Batyrshina, Alina Kabaeva.

In 2003 she began competing internationally and came 4th All-Around in the World Cup, Zaragoza and won a team medal at the World Championships in Budapest.

2004 was a good year for Olga but she was unable to make the Olympics with the great talents Irina Chaschina and Alina Kabaeva taking the two places. In 2005 she won the individual all-around title at the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships held in Baku, Azerbaijan.[2]

After the retirement of Kabaeva and Chaschina, Olga would become one of Russia's top gymnasts and has continued to prove her talent, scoring a number of medals in the World Cup series of 2008.

She competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics after beating Vera Sessina to take the second spot in the Russian team, along with Yevgeniya Kanayeva. She took 4th place on the Women's Individual event.[3]
