Paul Novotny (born 1965/1966)[1] is an American politician and a Republican member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. He represents District 30A in east-central Minnesota.

Early life, education, and career

Novotny graduated from Elk River High School in 1983. He attended North Hennepin Community College, graduating with an A.A.S. in law enforcement.[1]

Novotny has worked as a police officer in Princeton, Minnesota. He has been a deputy for the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office since 1989 and will retire in May 2020.[1]

Minnesota House of Representatives

Novotny was first elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in a special election in 2020.

Personal life

Novotny and his wife, Nicole, have two daughters. He resides in Elk River, Minnesota.[1]
