“I can teach anyone technically. No one can be taught creativity or sensitivity: either you have it or you don’t.
I cannot feel anyone’s emotions but my own. It is when an artist feels something emotionally and can create it technically that a work becomes a successful piece of art.
One only has to look at the work of Robert McGinnis! The emotional connection that he demonstrates with his technical skill goes far above and beyond realism. His work is a perfect example, very moving!!!
In my own experience, I find I must be true to my convictions, that I too can achieve a certain level of greatness equal to my mentors just as others can.
My hope is that my students and colegues will come to feel the same confidence on their artistic journey of expression.”
