Peter North (born Alden Brown on 11 May, 1957)[2][3] is a Canadian pornographic actor, director and producer of the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s.[2]

Peter North is originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and attended James Lorimer Ilsley High School. He moved to California, U.S. in 1982.[3][4] He currently lives in Newport Coast, CA. He entered the porn business at age 24 to make money after being recruited by a porn producer.[citation needed]
He states that he "entered the adult business in the spring of 1984 by accident. I was approached to do it but never really contemplated it or even thought I would be in the adult business."[3]
In a 1996 interview published in North's hometown newspaper, the Halifax Chronicle-Herald, he stated that he was "discovered" while modeling athletic wear at a private party in Los Angeles in the early 80s. A man within the adult industry, whom North did not name, attended the party, was impressed by North's physique, and gave him his business card.

Peter North is known by many as the cum shot legend of the porn industry because of his ability to produce very large amounts of semen, and for his powerful cum shots. He has averaged 11-13 ejaculations per climax since the start of his career in the porn industry three decades ago. North has appeared in over 1800 pornographic movies.[2]
Female co-stars like Jenna Jameson and Heather Hunter confirm his volume of ejaculation to be real, with no movie trickery involved.[5] Peter North has stated that his ejaculations have always been of a high volume and that he didn't know it was above the norm until he began his career in the porn industry.[6]
North is known for having an exceptionally large penis both in length and girth. Many porn starlets have attested to these facts, particularly Savannah, Kaitlyn Ashley,[7] Nikita Denise and Jewel De'Nyle. The size of North's circumcised penis, reported to be 8.5 inches (21.5 cm) in length by 6 inches (15 cm) in girth, is amongst the largest of all current male porn stars, as claimed by female co-stars Kelly O'Dell, Harmony, and others.[8][9]

North became involved in the government's 1986 investigation of Traci Lords' underage involvement in the industry. Lords was underage when she made most of her movies, including some sex scenes with North.[2][10] The government eventually dropped the investigation.
North has directed more than 70 movies (notably, his North Pole and Anal Addicts series), and produced over 20 movies, including 15 in the North Pole series.[2]
North dated fellow porn actress Jewel De'Nyle for over two years.[11] Over this period, De'Nyle performed in many scenes with North for movies of the North Pole series. In 1994, Peter North released a guide to meeting and dating beautiful women called Penetrating Insights. [12] The book also includes tips on everything from grooming to personal health.
He is well known for being in excellent physical shape, even as he enters his fifties.[citation needed]. He is a workout buff.[13] Legendary pornstar Christy Canyon confirmed a longstanding rumor in her 2003 porn autobiography Lights, Camera, SEX!, revealing that North does not like to have his hair touched during a scene, as it causes him to lose his concentration.
North is a member of the X-Rated Critics Organization (XRCO) and the Adult Video News (AVN) Hall of Fame.[14]

The name "North" may refer to his Canadian or northern roots.[15] Writer Steven Strager speculated that North's stage name, like that of many other male pornographic actors, "expresses the controlling man-as-penis metaphor while precisely articulating the masturbator’s big-dick fantasies."[16]
The main antagonist (a former Nazi officer) in the Finnish comedy film Kummeli: Kultakuume was named Peter North, possibly after the porn actor[citation needed].

In 2009, after a long hiatus from the general public and working behind the scenes, North began making public appearances. His first official event was held at the 2009 AVN Awards and Internext Show, in which he sponsored and hosted an event alongside Tera Patrick and Rocco Siffredi at the Las Vegas Palms Hotel. Future events include the 2009 Xbiz Awards, as a guest speaker and additional appearances scheduled for the year.[3]
North maintains open communications with fans via Social Networking sites including Myspace and Facebook, which also contain personal pictures and information. It should also be noted that North is no longer under management as he is listed as CEO and President of North Pole Enterprises based in Irvine, California, a change from his former production company, Northstar (now defunct).
