The Silom Line is a route of the BTS Skytrain in Bangkok, Thailand. It runs eastward from the National Stadium Station in Pathum Wan District over Rama I Road and interchanges with the Sukhumvit Line at Siam Station, then turns southward, following Ratchadamri, Si Lom, Narathiwat Ratchanakharin and Sathon Roads to Taksin Bridge where it crosses the Chao Phraya River and terminates at Wongwian Yai Station in Khlong San District. Originally consisting of seven stations (from National Stadium to Sathon) when the BTS opened in 1999, the 2.2 kilometre extension across the river to Wongwian Yai was opened on 15 May 2009, and further extension to Bang Wa in Phasi Charoen District is under construction as of early 2012. The line is represented on the official BTS map in dark green.
