Rio Open

The Rio Open, also known as the Rio Open presented by Claro hdtv for sponsorship reasons, is a combined tennis event on the ATP and WTA tours. The tournament is played on outdoor clay courts at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and is the only combined ATP World Tour 500 and WTA International event in South America. [1] The first edition was headlined by world number one, Rafael Nadal and fellow Spanish player David Ferrer.
