Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts

The Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts or RSWT is a registered charity,[1] incorporated by Royal Charter to promote conservation and manage environmental funds. It is based at Newark-on-Trent in Nottinghamshire.
The RSWT was previously known by the names Society for the Promotion of Nature Reserves and Royal Society for Nature Conservation.

RSWT is the umbrella organisation for the 47 independently funded and managed local wildlife trusts in the United Kingdom. As such, the society trades as and is commonly known by the name The Wildlife Trusts.
