Sakura (さくら市 Sakura-shi?) is a city located in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan.

As of August 1, 2005, the city has an estimated population of 41,640 and the population density of 331.89 persons per km². The total area is 125.46 km².

The modern city of Sakura was established on March 28, 2005 with the merger of the towns of Kitsuregawa and Ujiie (both from Shioya District). It is a hiragana city. As of 2010 it had a population of 44,774 people.

Kitsuregawa Castle and the Sakura City Museum of Art are located in Sakura.[1]
