Sultana is a town in Jhunjhunu District of the Indian state of Rajasthan.

The area is covered mainly Marwaris but its main castes are Ahirs, Rajputs and Yadavs. The Ahirs are brave and well established warriors converted into farmers occupation. They having same customs and traditions like Kachwaha Rajputs. Many Ahirs are went for farming land during early days in north and settle their own villages and rule . Many villages are present in Rewari, Mahendregarh, Narnaul and Singhana.

People with the surname Sultania are Marwaris who hail from the village of Sultana. The Sultanias are now found all throughout India, but mainly in the industrial centres like New Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Bihar, Jharkhand and Kolkata. They are a rich business class community.


Sultana is not accessible directly by rail. The nearest railway stations is Chirawa (10 km) served by Northern Western Railway and lying on the Sikar-Loharu Broad Gauge section.
