Polish Record?[edit]

I've checked all the existing player articles in the Category:Polish male tennis players and none of them reached the singles semifinal of Wimbledon. If it is the first time that any Polish player did so (or just even in the Open Era) then this nation-related record should be noted (the Americanless 3rd round is also already mentioned). As Pole, I can confirm that record Polish achievement in Grand Slam until this year was Wojciech Fibak quarterfinal and Jadwiga Jędrzejowska final.TheLightBlue (talk) 20:36, 1 July 2013 (UTC)
So it is a Men's singles record then. Worth noting. Can you find a newspaper source for that (I guess Polish media has coverage on this, doesn't it?). As I see English sources don't really care about that fact. Lajbi Holla @ me CP 07:58, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
Historyczni Kubot z Janowiczem, jeden będzie w 1/2. Radwańska zgodnie z planem

"Historic Kubot and Janowicz, one of them will be in semis. Radwanska according to plan" (title) "Polacy przebili więc historyczne do tej pory osiągnięcie Wojciecha Fibaka, który w 1980 roku na wimbledońskiej trawie dotarł do ćwierćfinału." - "So Poles beat historic Wojciech Fibak's achievement, who reached quarterfinals on Wimbedon grass in 1980."
