Coordinates questioned[edit]

A. Kalenahalli is in Kumbenahalli gram panchayat which is in the southwest corner of Channarayapatna Taluka. The coordinates provided by Shmilyshy on 4 October 2010, namely 12°53′55″N 76°22′49″E / 12.89871°N 76.380244°E / 12.89871; 76.380244, point to a spot just outside of the town of Channarayapatna that does not appear to be a 2,000+ inhabited spot. That spot, according to the official taluka map, seems to be in Kaggantikaaval village. A. Kalenahalli village shows up on the taluka map in the southwest, bordering (across the river) with K.R. Pete Taluka, just west of Chikkaganni. The coordinates, from GoogleEarth, for the built-up village at that location are 12°51′07″N 076°20′23″E / 12.85194°N 76.33972°E / 12.85194; 76.33972. The GoogleEarth image is consistent with a 2,000+ village. On that basis, including the official map, I have changed the coordinates. --Bejnar (talk) 23:36, 10 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
