Untitled[edit]

The grandson of President Abraham Lincoln and son of Robert Todd and Mary Harlan Lincoln. (1873-1890). The only son of Robert died at age 16 in Paris, France, following surgery when infection set in and he was unable to recover. His nickname was "Jack."

He was originally buried in the Lincoln family plot in Springfield, Illinois, was but reinterred years later in his father's plot in Arlington National Cemetery.

For years his name did not appear in the Arlington site but, through the efforts of a Catholic Priest in Baltimore and with the assistance of US Senator Paul S. Sarbanes, his name was added to his father's memorial in 1976.

Small but good[edit]

I was just traveling through rating articles. I like this and rated it as a B class article. It is very short, but the subject was only 16 at the time of death, and is notable only as part of the Lincoln family. It would be an interesting exercise to try and take this to GA status or better based on its current size.--Bookandcoffee 00:34, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Irrelevant poem?[edit]

Why on earth is this "poorly researched" modern poem by CEE included at all? It sounds like a cheap bid for publicity. Whoever added it - care to defend its inclusion? --Pergish1 (talk) 23:24, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've taken a look at other contributions by the now-nonexistent user Two-Fisted Tales and see that he/she has inserted meaningless cites of poems by this "CEE" into a wide variety of Wikipedia entries. Unfortunately, Two-Fisted Tales has reverted this and two other edits where I removed his/her meaningless fame-seeking cites. User:Two-Fisted Tales, I'd appreciate it if you'd abide by the rules and discuss your rationale for reversion here on this talk page.
