Comment on name change[edit]

It is not a question of which is more important. The article on the park was created when there was no article on the suburb, and links from other articles have been created on that basis. Many now go to the wrong article - including the disambig page. If you are willing to go through them all and correct them, then having Ainslie Wood as a disambig is fine. All you need to do is request a move via Wikipedia:Requested moves and this talk page, arguing that the nature reserve should not be the primary topic. At no stage has this article even been moved, the original editor performed a cut and paste move which is not permitted. 99% of the time I would just move the article myself, but I do not believe the Ontario neighborhood is even notable. —Xezbeth (talk) 05:55, 25 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I do not know whether the Ontario neighbourhod is notable, but I do think Ainslie Wood U.K. is not a good name for the the nature reserve. If the article is moved, Ainslie Wood, London would be better. Dudley Miles (talk) 10:05, 25 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ainslie Wood is mentioned often in the media, including Canada's national public broadcaster (http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/hamilton/news/ainslie-wood-residents-want-new-rec-centre-at-prince-philip-1.2501107), Hamilton's daily newspaper (http://www.thespec.com/news-story/5540116-folks-oppose-15-room-student-home/) and Hamilton's main weekly newspaper (http://www.hamiltonnews.com/news-story/5547599-education-ministry-won-t-say-how-much-of-3-65-million-prince-philip-school-sale-it-funded/) 2. Ainslie Wood is a term used often by Hamilton's municipal government (http://www.hamilton.ca/NR/rdonlyres/C9CBFDDB-B578-424D-8101-CF0518DF72FF/0/Oct06Motion91MMcHsiteplanswestdale.pdf) as the official name of the area. 3. Ainslie Wood is physically surrounded by three other neighbourhoods, each of which has had a wikepedia entry for many years: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westdale,_Ontario https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dundas,_Ontario https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancaster,_Ontario Ainslie Wood is larger than Westdale and has existed for 100 years longer. Other than being less affluent and more ethnically diverse, Ainslie Wood is comparable to Westdale, Dundas and Ancaster. There is no reason why Ainslie Wood should be considered less notable than its surrounding neighbourhoods. 4. With a Google search performed in Hamilton, five of the first six results refer to the Hamilton neighbourhood. 6. Thanks. Move seems to have worked and I created disambiguation page. Now I am trying to fix all the links to the London park article, but the links are contained in a category: Category:Local nature reserves in Greater London which is sort of an automatic footnote on several pages. I made the changes at what seems to be the source -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_local_nature_reserves_in_Greater_London -- but these changes have not made it to the automatic footnotes. I'm willing to change every link individually but when I try to edit pages I just get the category blurb, which does not contain the term I wish to edit.

I have sorted it. It is a template at the bottom of the pages and you click "e" top left (of the template not the article) to edit it. Dudley Miles (talk) 12:29, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
