Compliments[edit]

I've a great appreciation for this sort of brevity. Might a picture of the Scholar be found?

"Bubblehead"[edit]

I took his Shakespeare course a gazillion years ago at Harvard and actually appreciated it -- I ALMOST came to like Shakespeare because of it. But we impertinent youngsters referred to him right from the start as "Bubblehead" -- because of his physical appearance. How dumb we can be! Wonder if I could find a *sourced* reference for this little bit of trivia.... Hayford Peirce (talk) 01:48, 24 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Hayford Peirce: It'd still fail WP:BLP and WP:TRIVIA even if sourced. But, on a personal note, I found your anecdote both amusing and heart-warming, so thank you for sharing it! --Xover (talk) 17:33, 24 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Alfred Bennett Harbage / Thomas Kyd[edit]

I think there should be a way to arrive at this entry also for those looking for Thomas Kyd. I am not an 'editor' of wikipedia. Can you do that?

First you would have to decide that Harbage as a mystery writer would be called Thomas Kyd (novelist) to distinguish him from the original one. Then you would have to create a page that said #REDIRECT Thomas Kyd (novelist). Then, probably just to be sure, you would need to create a Disambiguation page called Thomas Kyd Disambiguation or some such in which you listed the various Thomas Kyds so that someone looking for the novelist would be directed there first. Or maybe not, I'm not quite sure. Hope this helps. Hayford Peirce (talk) 16:16, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Go to Ross Thomas to see what a disamb. page should look like. You would have to recreate one, with two entries: Thomas Kyd; and Thomas Kyd (novelist). And THEN make a REDIRECT for Thomas Kyd (novelist) to the Harbage page. You can make it more complicated than that, but now you have the basics. Hayford Peirce (talk) 17:02, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
