Notability[edit]

I have tagged this article with the {{Notability}} tag as it does not appear that Ambika Mohan meets English Wikipedia's General Notability Guideline (GNG). Per the guideline we need to see: significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject.

  1. Signficant coverage (more than a trivial mention)
  2. Reliable (must have editorial integrity)
  3. Sources (should be secondary sources)
  4. Independent of the subject

The only source currently cited in the article is this one:

  • എ. Masnoramaonline.com (in Malayalam). Retrieved 8 June 2022.

I do not read Malayalam but using my translation program this Masnoramaonline.com article reads like an interview. If that is correct, then that means it is not "independent of the subject".

I think we probably need to see significant coverage from at least 3 reliable independent sources in order to establish notability. Any Malayalam editors willing to help dig something up? Thanks.  — Archer1234 (t·c) 03:38, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Still looking for help to cite evidence of Ambika Mohan's notability per Wikipedia's definition of Notability, especially for those who can search for and identify evidence in Malayalam. This has been out here for nearly a month. If there is no substantive discussion or feedback on this, I will likely nominate the article for deletion. If you want to keep the article, now would be a good time to help cite evidence. Thanks.  — Archer1234 (t·c) 14:43, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Discography for albums[edit]

Why are short films and albums listed together? Typically, they would be in separate "Filmography" and "Discography" sections and tables.  — Archer1234 (t·c) 10:36, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Any comments on this?  — Archer1234 (t·c) 00:56, 21 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Game shows, talk shows, etc.[edit]

Per this discussion [1] at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Actors and Filmmakers, I removed ads, game shows, albums, award shows, talk shows from the Television credits table. @Honeyintruder888 has restored a couple of them (Smart Show and Humorous Talk Show) without any explanation [2]. I invite HI888 to explain further their reasoning and how it is consistent with the discussion at WikiProject Actors and Filmmakers.  — Archer1234 (t·c) 10:53, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

So far, @Honeyintruder888 has not elected to participate in this discussion. Are there any other editors who have any comments to make on this topic? Here is your opportunity to help shape consensus.  — Archer1234 (t·c) 10:43, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Having not heard from @Honeyintruder888 or anyone else at this point to discuss or advocate for the inclusion of games shows, talk shows, awards shows, etc, I intend to remove them from the article unless there is evidence that Ambika's participation was significant (e.g., the host of the show, or a recurring guest on a game show, or a performance by her during an awards show). I will hold off for some days to give additional time to folks to join in the discussion. If there is no further discussion after some days, then I will proceed with my proposed changes. Note that while it is probably the weakest form of consensus, silence will be treated as such. So, if you disagree with what I propose, this is a good time for you to register your objections. I am absolutely open to discussing any good-faith objections. Thanks.  — Archer1234 (t·c) 00:55, 21 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
